Our Mission Statement
Although there are some great breeder rats out there, there are many, if not more rats, who are abandoned, strayed, neglected, or simply out of a home. While we are a rat rescue, we encourage rescuing all types of animals. They make great pets and they need homes!
Our mission is to provide a safe, loving retreat for as many rats in need as we can. We will always provide a clean living environment for our rescued animals and we will take in as many rats as we have resources for. We will never euthanize any of our rats no matter how long they've been here for. Our goal is to find a loving, permanent home for each and every one of our rescues.
Rockstar Rats Retreat is located in California and all of our rescued rats are housed in West Los Angeles. Each rat is given a basic health by a team member on the day it comes to our rescue. If we find any problems at all, the rat is taken to a veterinarian right away.
Upon arrival, all of our rescued rats are put in quarantine. The quarantine process will not only keep our current rescues healthy, but will help determine the health of the new rescue. Any medical attention that may be required will be provided to insure that they are in good health before adoption.
Each rescued rat has human socialization time at least twice a day from the day it comes in. During that time, we will evaluate their temperament, and hopefully see their personality start to bloom! This evaluation process will help us to find them a good home that will suit both the owner and rescued rat.
If you are looking for a specific type of rat and don't see it on the site, send us an e-mail so we can keep an eye out for you.
